Short for Intelligent Plenum Air Management Module, iPAMM is the missing link in the quest to provide effective cooling for today’s increasingly powerful server systems without compromising the rack’s Australian Government security (SCEC) endorsement.

iPAMM directs chilled “virgin” air directly into the equipment, using clean, conditioned, pressurised air from the building supply to remove heat from the rack without overcooling the server room.

There is now no need to arrange equipment in “hot” and “cold” aisles. If a top mounted iPAMM module is used, even the raised plenum floor can be eliminated, which allows server racks to be placed anywhere within the building.

The new product is ideally suited to the rapidly-growing Australian and international defence, national security and other government and commercial high density server markets where sensitive information is handled.

iPAMM is up to four times more effective than existing cooling systems. It saves around 30 per cent of energy bills, has a lower capital cost and saves on accommodation costs by using less space.

There are also advantages in terms of lower capital cost, use of less space and a 30 per cent energy saving.
